There is an interesting article by Kenneth Baker in SF Chronicle today that is somewhat related to what we are studying.
“Saving the Soul of Art” discusses the back room decisions that are made at contemporary art museums with regards to archiving their collections, especially with large and unorthodox pieces that don’t just hang on the wall. Decisions such as what to save, what not to save, and how those questions might alter future interpretations.
