The Tate Modern website has a great link to lectures at the Tate with The Open University. I found a series of lectures regarding the avant-garde called “Concepts of the Avant-Garde.” The first lecturer talks at length about Bürger’s views, Buchloh as well as others. They are very easy to listen to and watch. As a visual learner, I find this is a good way to “get” a bit more about this broad historical-political art subject to help flesh out some of the readings.
And it’s nice to replay a part when you hear it the first time and go “huh?”
